Sandy began her art career in Dallas, Texas where she studied at Dallas County Community College and Southern Methodist University. She has taken many workshops locally and in Taos, Albuquerque and Santa Fe. She studied with Suzanne Kelley-Clark, Albert Handel, Robert Gray, Gwen Fox, and IrmiKnoth and has been painting for more than 20 years.
On Saturday, October 5th, 2019 from 4:30 to 6:30, two artists will hold a reception featuring their new works:

She was a member of the Palmer Lake Art Group, resident artist at Tri-Lakes Center for the Arts in Monument where she also served as a member of the Board of Directors for eight years. She lived in Monument, CO from 2001 to 2016 when she moved to Taos, NM, to continue her art career.
Sandy’s primary interest has been landscape, portraits and still life and has received awards for all three. She works in oil, acrylic, pastel and gouache Recently, her focus has been on portraits of children and animals in pastel and pastel pencil.
