October 2019 "Beauty Expressed in Many Forms" October 5 (4:30 - 6:30) Sandra Kinchen will be showing Portraits, Landscapes and Still Life. Her work is a diverse collection of oil, acrylic and water media. Marsha Fawns will have many NewSculptures created from Clay, Stone and Soft Sculptures formed with yarn, antique buttons, beads and items from Nature. The Exhibition of Sandra Kinchen and Marsha Fawns works will be on exhibit at Taos Artist Collective until November 7

Artists: April Buchschacher, Vera Neel, Miles Smith
Our newest member of the Gallery, April Buchschacher from La Veta, Colorado a Contemporary Folk Artist will be showing with Miles Smith working in Raku pottery and Vera Neel, working in palette knife oils. April works on large canvases, bright color palette with lots of spirit coming through her images of bears, horses, goats and whatever inspires her. She is the owner of The Painted Horse Gallery on Main Street in La Veta, Colorado. Miles Smith has been a professional potter since 1971, he is passionate about working with Ferric Chloride which in its most wild willfulness, scours the clay surface of his pots with wicked reds and soothing orange streaks.
Vera Neel, originally from Russia believes Art should bring pleasure, positive energy and joyful feelings to people. She considers herself a colorist and sees beauty in everything and expresses it in her paintings and wearable art through colors.

Tatiana, from St. Petersburg, Russia found her second home in Los Alamos 23 years ago. In Russia, she owned and directed a private crafts school, designing and creating clothes using knitting, crochet, embroidery and quilting in her designs. In the spring of 2017 she pursued painting, portraying positive energy and happiness by splashing bright colors on canvas to share the beauty and inspiration she finds through her love of nature.
Jan Nelson builds unique lamps from recycled materials. He is known for his sense of humor, along with a great aesthetic sense that result in beautiful one-of-kind, whimsical lamps and lit creations. He has worked with well known lighting designers for Popejoy Hall, Kimo, Lensic Theatres and the Santa Fe Opera. He has also worked as a Lightinng Designer/Tech in film, music, dance and stage productions for 30 years.
Kirk Buchanan is an American Contemporary Artist and Author living in Taos, NM and Heath, Texas. Kirk paints the Southwest landscape in all prima method with impasto techniques in the style broadly categorized as Abstract Impressionism.
