Born in California, raised in Texas, and currently living and working in Carson, New Mexico (just west of Taos). “If I had to describe my work in one word, it would be “eclectic”. The most common thread within my work would have to be my use of bright colors, but my subject matter varies. Day of the dead, Religious, The Blues, Western, Native Americans, and just about anything else Southwestern. I also love to get my hands dirty. I use Taos County mud to make reliefs on wood. These hand sculpted pieces are usually inspired by Mexican or Southwestern religious folk art. Recently after having to move back to Texas for Family, I decided it was time to go back to school. I had been interested in learning about pottery or ceramics. In May of 2013, I Graduated from Texas Women’s University with a degree in Ceramics and business. Now that I am back in my beloved New Mexico my focus is my art. I am constantly working to be the best artist that I can be.
