April works on large canvases, bright color palette with lots of spirit coming through her images of bears, horses, goats and whatever inspires her. She is the owner of The Painted Horse Gallery on Main Street in La Veta, Colorado. Miles Smith has been a professional potter since 1971, he is passionate about working with Ferric Chloride which in its most wild willfulness, scours the clay surface of his pots with wicked reds and soothing orange streaks.
Vera Neel, originally from Russia believes Art should bring pleasure, positive energy and joyful feelings to people. She considers herself a colorist and sees beauty in everything and expresses it in her paintings and wearable art through colors.
“I have been coming to Taos on a regular basis for 50 years. Every year I have to go out to the church and check on it. It is fascinating because it is different every visit because of the day, time, season and weather conditions of each visit. I always seem to be coming back to it to paint or draw.”
Terry Fiala has 4 images selected for "The New Protagonists", a National Juried Show to be displayed April 27 to May 18 at 3 prestigious art galleries in Taos: David Anthony Fine Art, Wilder Nightingale Fine Art and Greg Moon Art. Click Here to see Terry's entries and Somos Awards
